My welding helmets take a strange size metric lens protector, that are slightly smaller than 2 x 4-1/4, and finding replacements already the metric size is a pain, so I got these and figure I can just set up a quick little fixture on my CNC machine and cut them all down to size and end up with a whole box the correct size, which is much better than fixing them one at a time when I need them, so I really appreciate 100 in a box.These have round corners instead of the normal square corners, but it’s a very small radius, I can’t imagine it would be an issue. they are crystal clear once you remove the film, except for my own fingerprints, and a lens cleaner removes those just fine. These kind of lens protectors are always getting scratched up, but that’s what they are for, they get scratched up so the expensive auto darkening lens doesn’t get scratched up.The thickness is exactly right, and I knew before I got them that they were going to be too big, it’s not an issue with this product, it’s an issue with my welding helmet using a non-standard size. The green protective plastic is easy to remove, I’ve had some of these where the protective layer was a real pain to remove, so I’m very happy these don’t have that problem.I cannot see these at all while welding, they are perfectly clear, and I don’t get any distortions of any sort when using these. I only use them on the inside of my helmet, the outside plastic is a much larger size that covers the sensors and solar cells.Overall, I am very happy with these. They are nice and clear and work the way they should.
