These containers were just what we were looking for – to be able to ‘gift’ meals to friends/family.In the past, we used foil pans – easy to use but they tended to be too large for a lot of the meals that either we would freeze or give away. Add to that, the lids were not always the best fitting and the overall solution was lacking.We had found some commercially packed products that used this type of container/lid and saved them for re-use. Unfortunately, these didn’t always get returned to us – and our supply dwindled to just a couple left.These containers are the right size to pack in a couple of pork chops (or similar sized protein) and then still have room for a couple of rice/potato servings and even some vegetables. The lid clicks tightly on to the container and the meal was ready to go out the door. The best part is that the container is microwave safe so that the meal can be re-heated if need be.When we choose to store leftovers in these containers, it is easy to stack them in the refrigerator or freezer.
